On July 20, 2019, in Gruyères, a significant announcement was made, marking an official milestone in the VERTU Hotels and Resorts journey. Philippe Attia enthusiastically joined the adventure, assuming the role of co-Founder and President of the Managed Hotels Division. In addition to spearheading the development and the quest for new managed properties, Philippe's primary responsibility encompassed the day-to-day operations of any existing managed hotel in the portfolio.

This pivotal moment birthed a Dream Team, poised to embark on a transformative journey towards crafting and nurturing a resounding success story. It was a paradigm designed to serve ownership groups in a manner hitherto unseen in the realm of the hospitality industry.

2019 - First set of hotels are joining

Commencing 2019 with remarkable momentum, the VERTU Hotels and Resorts' array of properties embarked on an expansion journey in March of that year. The charming Le Saint Georges, a country hotel nestled in Gruyères, Switzerland, was the first addition, swiftly succeeded by another boutique gem in the heart of Paris: Hôtel Harvey, now an esteemed member of the Charming Collection.

April brought another notable milestone as Le Cottage Bise, a luxurious 4-star hotel, restaurant, and spa situated by the serene shores of Lake Annecy, was welcomed into the VERTU fold as the inaugural flagship property of the brand's Signature Collection.

Gérald Lampaert, driven by his vision, ambition, and drawing upon his extensive professional experience and unwavering dedication to service and quality, set his sights on creating something entirely new. It was on that fateful day that he gave birth to the VERTU Hotels and Resorts brand.

The concept was elegantly straightforward, yet profoundly in alignment with his overarching philosophy: to deliver the ultimate customer experience in the perfect setting of hospitality. Gérald recognized that the journey would commence on a modest scale, but with a determined and audacious five-year roadmap ahead. Thus, the project was set into motion!

of what Customer Service is all about.

At the age of 21, Gérald Lampaert embarked on his journey by joining the Walt Disney Company and played a pivotal role in the opening of Euro Disney, France's inaugural major theme park situated beyond the bounds of Paris. It was within this Franco-American setting that he honed his hospitality skills and swiftly grasped the profound significance of prioritizing guests' well-being.
